Parkland Dedication Bylaw update and Parkland Acquisition Strategy - Virtual Public Open House
From "Parkland Dedication Bylaw Update and Parkland Acquisition Strategy"
Go to the project
Our Parkland Dedication Bylaw needs updating, and we’re engaging the community to make sure we get the right balance for Guelph.
The bylaw dictates the amount of land or cash in lieu of land the City collects for new development or redevelopment projects. Parkland dedication and cash in lieu of land is one way to create new parks or expand existing parks for our growing population.
This bylaw review will also be paired with the development of a new Parkland Acquisition Strategy to establish how we fund and acquire the parkland to ensure residents have the spaces needed for recreation as the city grows.
Join us for a presentation starting at 1:30 p.m. to learn about Guelph’s Parkland Dedication Bylaw and Parkland Acquisition Strategy project, including the current opportunities and challenges we will need to navigate. We will then open the floor for you ask your questions and share your thoughts with our team for consideration as part of the review process.
