Parkland Dedication Bylaw update and Parkland Acquisition Strategy – In person Public Open House

Our Parkland Dedication Bylaw needs updating, and we’re engaging the community to make sure we get the right balance for Guelph.

The bylaw dictates the amount of land or cash in lieu of land collected by the City for new development and redevelopment projects.  Parkland dedication is one way that new parks are created existing parks are expanded for our growing population.

This bylaw review will also be paired with the development of a new Parkland Acquisition Strategy to establish how we fund or acquire the parkland to ensure residents have the spaces needed for recreation as the city grows.
