Guelph is in a unique situation of owning a railway "GJR".

There should be additional right of way allowances included for the expansion of railway services which would allow industrial lands to be connected to the railway grid. Yes it is capital intensive for the infrastructure but it has huge return potential as far as green investment goes and high end job creation by allowing large distribution and industrial additions. This has been always overlooked because it is not in the radar of most people of how important this mode of transportation is. Railways can be used for multiple purposes. Industrial, passenger and recreational uses.
