Limit curbside parking to Weekends

From "Moving Guelph Forward"

Go to the project

Limit curbside parking to allow for safer cycling (and driving). This is aimed at internal roads that are often somewhat narrow. A classic case in point is Ironwood road between Edinburgh and Scottsdale. Harvard from Edinburgh to Gordon is another. These roads are marked as "Cycle Routes"; however, curbside parking means cyclists have to weave in and out, often even coming close to the road midline if a car is badly parked. Another point: the vast majority of curbside parked cars are adjacent to vacant driveways. That is, many actually have space in their driveways but choose to opt for the safer/convenient option of not having to back out when leaving home. Finally, we already have eliminated curbside parking during the "snow" months, so it's not like there's no precedent.
