From "Baker Street reconstruction"

Go to the project

We fully support the construction initiative that includes bringing the Library up to date, and the community and downtown advantages that will come from the Baker Street project. However, these benefits will come much later in time than some businesses can survive with customer access disruptions. In order to survive, small businesses in the Upper Wyndham area need parking relief of some sort. What temporary solutions have been explored to provide access to parking for our customers while the project is ongoing? Have you considered a shuttle service from the Market Square Parkade, or other parking areas (ie the lot adjacent to the police station) as a temporary solution? Will angled parking, which is part of a longer term plan, be able to be implemented sooner to provide more customer access on Upper Wyndham during the time we are affected by the construction?
