Thank you for your enthusiasm for this project. This indeed will be a transformative project for the downtown. To answer your question, through this total reconstruction of Baker Street, there will be a vast improvement to the pedestrian experience from Woolwich Street to the Library. The design of the pedestrian area is being developed as part of our multi-disciplinary team which includes road designers and landscape architects, who are also working on the Library site to ensure continuity between the buildings and the new streetscape, including the existing buildings. In addition there will be a new pedestrian connection between Wyndham Street North and the Baker Redevelopment through the new Wyndham Square complementing the existing pedestrian walkways south of the County of Wellington Building and through the Park Mall covered walkway.

This is an exciting project for downtown!!! How are planning to ensure the Library etc feels connected (for pedestrians) to Woolwich Street? Ie that the building is not isolated from our main street and shops?
