Exhibition Street Reconstruction
The City of Guelph will reconstructing Exhibition Street (from St. Andrew Street to Robertson Drive). We will be upgrading watermain on Verney Street and Robertson Drive. Reconstruction will include the replacement of underground utilities and surface works including sanitary sewers, storm sewers, watermains, services to property line, asphalt, curbs, sidewalks and other miscellaneous works.
Through this project, we will be upgrading watermain in advance of the new Verney Booster Pumpstation. The project will replace underground infrastructure at the end of its service life and increase capacity for future growth. Through the Exhibition Street Reconstruction, we will also enhance accessible travel by replacing existing sidewalk with wider sidewalk and infilling the new sidewalk and addressing drainage challenges.

How can I participate ?
We will be having a drop in style open house on March 25, 2026 at Victory Public School (135 Exhibition St, Guelph). Drop in from 6:30 to 8:30 to meet with the project team and ask questions.

Phases
Construction
The construction for the Exhibition Street Reconstruction will take place over two construction seasons starting in July 2026, and is expected to wrap up in the fall of 2027 (weather permitting). There will be a break in construction over the winter of 2026/2027.
Construction notices will be circulated before construction starts with more information on the work that will be done. Look for project updates on guelph.ca/construction.
