What names belong where?
There are so many types of names to consider when a new place in Guelph is built. As part of the criteria planning process, we need to know, are there some types of names that only belong on some types of places?
For example:
Should soldiers who lost their lives on the battlefield be remembered through naming, but only in some instances?
- Tell us about it!
Should plants and animals be celebrated through naming but perhaps not in some instances?
- Tell us about it!
Think about places like parks and trails and where they are built, or City buildings and meeting rooms what they are used for. Roads, alleys and bike paths can also have names. What is appropriate or not appropriate for them?
Share a comment with your idea and go through other ideas to share a like with ones that you agree with. Your feedback will be used to develop a framework for when and how to consider renaming city assets as part of the larger Naming places project.
