Queen Street Reconstruction
We are reconstructing Queen Street from the Queen and Palmer Street Intersection (55 Queen Street) to 75 Queen Street.
The work will include constructing a new watermain and a new sanitary sewer, which will be replacements to century old systems. We will also be replacing a small section of storm sewer.
The work is intended to begin early in Spring 2026 and reach completion by late Spring 2026, and is anticipated to take place over two months.

Phases
Construction
Construction will include setting up temporary water supply, decommissioning, removing, and replacing the watermain on Queen Street. The sanitary sewer will also be replaced.
Residents can expect temporary water shutoffs during the connection to the temporary system, at the start of construction, and another temporary shutoff near the end of construction when connections to the new system take place. Most interruptions will be limited to a few hours and will occur during daytime hours. Advanced written notice will be provided before any planned service interruption.
Street access will be limited during construction hours, though the contractor will provide access for all residents overnight.
