Traffic Calming Projects Coming Soon

See which streets are currently scheduled to receive traffic calming upgrades below.

Each project is unique and will apply different traffic calming measures depending on the context and conditions of the road. Residents are encouraged to share their inputs to help us understand local context, community needs, and lived experience.

Project 1: Alice Street and Huron Street

About 60 metres further east is a curb extension with a yield to oncoming traffic. After another 80 metres, a school pavement marking appears immediately before a second speed table. Further east is another curb extension with a yield to oncoming traffic. At the Huron Street intersection, existing features include a stop sign and a ladder crosswalk.

Alice Street

Alice Street

Project 2: Goodwin, Hall and Tolton

Hall Avenue

Project 3: Exhibition, Clarke and Powell

Drop by the Marg MacKinnon Room at City Hall (first floor, 1 Carden Street, Guelph) to learn more about the traffic calming plans for your street and speak with the project team. You can learn more about what changes you'll notice on your street during construction, and what the road will look like once it's traffic calmed.
