Program Options for the Master Plan

The City of Guelph is updating the Solid Waste Management Master Plan to provide strategic direction for managing the city’s waste over the next 25 years. For this update, we have examined how new approaches in waste management and consumer trends will shape the future of waste management in Guelph, and how to improve our current waste management system for a more sustainable future.

Through our review of the current system, analysis of future waste trends and growth anticipated in Guelph, and consultation with the public and waste management experts, we have developed a list of opportunities and programming options to help Guelph manage its waste more sustainably into the future. These options will help to guide waste management over the next 25 years.

What we heard in our previous survey and engagement helped us to develop and evaluate the options we are proposing for the Master Plan. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback on priorities to consider for how we implement the options.

This survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.  Please share it with your friends and family!

Be sure to visit our Give Waste a New Life multimedia webpage to learn more about the Solid Waste Management Master Plan, and the options we are considering for the plan!
