The City of Guelph is starting to develop Create, Play and Stay: A culture and sport tourism strategy for Guelph.

This strategy is funded through the Government of Canada’s Tourism Relief Fund (TRF) to adapt and recover, to attract new visitors and drive economic growth in culture and sport tourism across Guelph. Create, Play and Stay puts part of the 2022-2026 Economic Development and Tourism Strategy, into action and supports our goal of building “a must-see visitor destination in Ontario.”

Thank you for your help crating this strategy!

Public consultation ran between November 21 and December 13, 2022. We heard from community members and sports, culture and tourism organizations through several workshops, interviews and right here on haveyoursay.

Thanks to everyone who participated. Your feedback and ideas will go a long way!

Your feedback helped to inform both the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and Culture Plan projects in 2023.
