Drew Park is getting an up-lift!

We're refreshing the features, fixtures and activities available in Drew Park in 2025. Several park elements have reached the end of their lifecycle and need replacing, but we also want to make sure the park responds to the needs of the community moving into the future. We're looking to hear from users and neighbours of this special place to know how the future park can best serve the community with safety, inclusion and accessibility at the heart of the new design.

Between March 5 and 31 we asked the community things like:

  • How you currently use the park,
  • What you like best about the park as it is now,
  • What new park and playground features you’d like to see, and
  • Specific accessibility features you would like to see included in the new design.

We'll use ideas from the community and emerging trends in park and playground development and be back to share our ideas for park designs and seek your feedback once more this summer.

Check out our summary report to learn more about what we heard and what we're doing.

Timeline for this playground project showing two phases for engagement with information being review3e4d following each phase. All phases work toward a final design aimed for fall 2024 and construction the following spring. There is a pin indicated we are in first information review phase of the project and will be back to engage on the design options next.

Take some time to share your thoughts about Drew Park; what you love about it, what you would like to change and what would make a great playground for the neighbourhood.

Your feedback will help our design team reimagine the park and the playground design.  We'll bring back two designs for you to consider later this spring.
