Comprehensive Zoning By-law Decision

In April 2023, Council approved the City’s new Comprehensive Zoning By-law which would permit 3 residential units per lot within residential zones in the City. The Comprehensive Zoning By-law is now under appeal at the Ontario Land Tribunal. As part of that Council meeting, Council directed staff to consider as-of-right permissions for greater than 3 units per property within the low density residential designation and report back to Council with options and recommendations by the end of Q1 of 2025.
