Skov Park Garden
Please take 10 minutes to complete our survey and help us decide if Skov Park and the community will benefit from a proposed community garden.
The City of Guelph is seeking your input for a proposed community garden in Skov Park in 2024. Skov Park is proposed as a site for a permanent community garden because there are interested gardeners nearby and it has access to a water source. The community garden program encourages volunteers to use small areas in City parks as locations for vegetable, small fruit and pollinator gardens that benefit the community. Having vegetables and small fruit grown just around the corner in your park brings a whole new meaning to local food. Pollinator gardens also provide a food source for a variety of wildlife including insects and some bird species.
There are several different types of community gardens in the city including traditional vegetable gardens, communal gardens and orchards, and pollinator gardens. Visit https://guelph.ca/living/recreation/parks/community-and-pollinator-gardens/guelph.ca/communitygardens to learn more.
We will use your feedback to determine if the proposed garden will benefit park users. Once we’ve made a decision we’ll let you know our final results if you leave your contact information or follow this project.
