We're ready to put the finishing touches on Orin Reid Park.

In 2026, we plan to add a picnic area with a sun shelter, washrooms and a new splash pad to the area of the park around the existing playground. We need your help as we plan and design these exciting new features for one of the south end's favourite parks.

We had started by making a splash!

Between August 1 and 18, we invited the community share their thoughts through a survey, activity and conversation inside the park. Over this time we hear a lot about what would make a good splash pad for Orin Reid Park.

We'll be back in the fall of 2024 to share design options for the splash pad as well as the shelter and washroom areas for your feedback and preferences.

    CLOSED: Splash pad ideas

    Orin Reid Park was first built in 2013. The original plan for this park included a splash pad, shade structure and washroom facilities which were not built at the park to start. Now, we’re ready to build them, and we need your help!

    Later this year we will reach out to engage the community more broadly on washroom and shade structures too, but for now, let’s talk about splash pads!

    Please take just five minutes to share your thoughts on what will make a great splash pad for Orin Reid Park. Our team will use that feedback to develop a design that we will be back to share with the community for comment.
