Born and raised in Guelph Ont.

I was raised on a farm just close to the reformatory, called "ARKELL" and if you are TRULY from Guelph you would know where that is...we could and did as kids walk past the reformatory...Our parents would take us down the hill to the little bridge and go fishing...We had a little corner store in Arkell, called "Coulsons" they were the best and most friendly of all...my brother and I would walk through the corn field to the next farm and they would sit us down and give us ice cream or milk and cookies, then send us off back through the corn field to go home...their names were the Sherwoods...mom worked at the RBC on York road there, and behind the RBC was a tiny tiny little shop and it was the beginning of "MANN LEATHER" MY dad worked at a place called LINDREAD in Guelph where they made nuts and bolts etc. Moms friend at work, well her husband was a guard at the Guelph reformatory...It would be a TOTAL shame,disappointing, and a true loss to the history of the city of Guelph ONT. To lose the reformatory...Me, I was born at "Guelph general" in the very early 60's...I could go on and on of my history of Guelph, but there is not enough space...
